No me malinterpreten…

How are you? Have you been working on your gut friendly meal plans? I’ve been feeling so much better now that I’ve been consistently eating more fruits, veggies and high fibre foods. Despite the fact that we’ve still been burning the candle at both ends, I’ve really made my health and diet a priority as it’s what keeps me going. Don’t get me wrong… I ate more than my fair share of carrot cake the other day, but it’s al about the balance.

Hummus is one of my favourite snacks to have on hand. The kids love it, I love it. It’s nutritious and easy to make. So here’s my secret hummus recipe.

Reasons you should love hummus too.

  1. It’s high in fibre that promotes gut health (remember healthy gut + healthy mind and body)

  2. It’s gluten free, so you can whip out some hummus if a guest comes over and not worry about allergies.

  3. It’s nutritious dense, get all you need from this snack.

  4. It’s high in protein so don’t have to worry about your protein intake.

  5. And one of my fav’s it’s super filling!

I’ve been working on my hummus game for some time now, and let me tell you I’ve perfected it. The secret is in that water and spices… it allows for a perfect creamy texture.

Side note… please make sure you have a really good blender (I use the vitamix) or a food processor.
