The ultimate Greek feast.  

Este festín contiene keftedes (bolas de carne griegas), pitas, ensalada griega y tzatziki, realmente la cena perfecta para una familia numerosa.


Ingredientes

Albóndigas:

  • 1 y 1/2 cebollas rojas (cortadas muy finas).
  • 1kg de carne picada.
  • 3 dientes de ajo (picados).
  • 1 taza de pan rallado panko.
  • 1 huevo.
  • 1 taza de perejil fresco (finamente picado).
  • 6 hojas de menta (finamente picadas).
  • 1/2 cucharadita de orégano seco molido.
  • 1 cucharada de aceite de oliva.

Ensalada griega:

  • 3 tomates.
  • 1 cebolla roja.
  • 1 pimiento verde.
  • Queso de cabra en cubos (la cantidad que desee).

Aderezo:

  • 6 cucharadas de aceite de oliva.
  • Zumo de medio limón.
  • 2 dientes de ajo (picados).
  • 1 cucharadita de vinagre balsámico.
  • Sal y pimienta al gusto.

Pita:

  • 1 taza de agua tibia.
  • 2 cucharaditas de levadura seca.
  • 2 tazas y 3/4 de taza de flor.
  • 1 cucharadita de sal.
  • 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva.

Tzatziki:

  • 1/2 taza de pepino finamente clasificado.
  • 1 taza de yogur natural plano.
  • Zumo de medio limón.
  • 2 dientes de ajo (finamente rallados).
  • Sal al gusto.
  • Una pizca grande de eneldo fresco picado.
  • Una pequeña pizca de menta picada (opcional).

Instrucciones

Tzatziki:

  1. Ponga el pepino en un paño de queso y exprima toda la humedad.
  2. Añade todos los ingredientes en un recipiente que se pueda cerrar y deja que repose hasta su uso (consejo profesional: cuanto más tiempo repose, mejor).

Ensalada griega:

  1. Corta los tomates, la cebolla y el pimiento en dados y ponlos en un bol grande.
  2. Añade el queso de cabra.

Aderezo:

  1. Añade todos los ingredientes en un bol y bátelos hasta que estén bien mezclados.
  2. Rocía la ensalada con el aliño y mézclalo.

Pita:

  1. Añade el agua y la levadura en un bol y mezcla hasta que se disuelva.
  2. Añadir la mitad de la flor al bol, mezclar hasta que se combine y dejar reposar durante 15-20 minutos.
  3. Añada el aceite de oliva, la sal y el resto de la flor, mezcle con una cuchara hasta que la masa se convierta en un batido.
  4. Amasar la masa hasta que esté suave y luego dejar reposar la masa en un lugar cubierto durante 10 minutos, amasar durante 2 minutos.
  5. Dejar reposar la masa durante la noche en un lugar cerrado.
  6. Sacar el bol y amasar hasta formar una bola.
  7. Pero el combate en un tazón grande sellable rap en una toalla y dejar reposar en un lugar caliente hasta que se duplicó en tamaño.
  8. Precalienta el horno a 475 grados y pon una bandeja para hornear resistente en él.
  9. Enrolle la masa en 8 trozos iguales, forme bolas y cúbralas con una toalla húmeda durante 10 minutos.
  10. Aplane una de las bolas de masa en un pequeño disco de unas 8 pulgadas de diámetro.
  11. Métela en el horno, hornéala durante 2 minutos y luego dale la vuelta, cocínala durante un minuto más, sácala, cúbrela con un paño y repite la operación.

Albondigas:

  1. Añadir todos los ingredientes en un bol grande y mezclar hasta que se combinen.
  2. Haz pequeñas bolas iguales y ponlas en una bandeja ligeramente aceitada.
  3. Hazlas rodar hasta convertirlas en bolas suaves.
  4. Saltear las bolas en una almohadilla ligeramente aceitada a fuego medio-alto hasta que estén doradas y crujientes por fuera.

The ultimate Greek feast

This feast contains keftedes (Greek meat balls), pitas, Greek salad and tzatziki, truly the perfect dinner for a big family. 

 

Ingredients 

 Meat balls:

  • 1 and 1/2 red onions (extremely thinly sliced).
  • 1kg of ground beef. 
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced).
  • 1 cup ok panko bread crumbs. 
  • 1 egg. 
  • 1 cup of fresh parsley (finely chopped). 
  • 6 mint leaves (finely minced). 
  • 1/2 tsp of dried ground oregano. 
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil. 

 Greek salad:

  • 3 tomatoes.
  • 1 red onion. 
  • 1 green bell pepper. 
  • Cubbed goat cheese (as much as u like).

Dressing:

  • 6 tbsp of olive oil. 
  • Half a lemon juice. 
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced). 
  • 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar. 
  • Salt and pepper to taste.  

 Pita:

  • 1 cup of lukewarm water.
  • 2 teaspoons of dry yeast.
  • 2 cups and 3/4 of a cup of flower. 
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 2 table spoons of olive oil.

 Tzatziki:

  • 1/2 cup of finely graded cucumber.
  • 1 cup of plane natural yogurt. 
  • Half a lemon juice. 
  • 2 garlic cloves (finely shredded). 
  • Salt to taste. 
  • A big pinch of fresh minced dill. 
  • A small pinch of minced mint (optional). 

 

Instructions

 Tzatziki:

  1. Rap the cucumber in a cheese cloth and squeeze all the moisture out. 
  2. Add all the ingredients in to a sealable bowl and let rest until use, (pro tip: the longer the rest the better). 

 Greek salad:

  1. Chop the tomatoes, onion, bell pepper in to cubes and put them in a large bowl. 
  2. Add the goat cheese. 

Dressing:

  1. Add all the ingredients in to a bowl and whisk until properly mixed. 
  2. Drizzle the dressing on the salad and toss. 

 Pita:

  1. Add the water and yeast in a bowl and mix until disolved.
  2. Add half of your flower to the bowl, mix to combined and let rest for 15-20 mins.
  3. Add the olive oil, salt and the rest of the flower, mix with a spoon until the dough becomes shaggy.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth then let the dough rest in a covered place for 10 minutes, knead for 2 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rest over night in a sealed place.
  6. Take the bowl out and knead into a ball.
  7. But the bout in a large sealable bowl rap in a towel and let rest in a hot place until doubled in size.
  8. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees and pu a heavy duty baking sheet in it.
  9. Roll your dough in to 8 equal pieces, roll in to balls and cover with a damp towel for 10 minutes.
  10. Flatten one of your dough balls in to a little disk about 8 inch diameter.
  11. Place in the oven, bake for 2 minutes then flip, cook for one more minute, take out cover with a cloth and repeat.

 Meat balls:

  1. Add all the ingredients in to a large bowl and mix until combined. 
  2. Scoop little equal balls and put on a light oiled backing tray. 
  3. Roll them out in to smooth balls. 
  4. Saute the ball in to a lightly oiled pad on mid high heat until brown and crispy on the outside.
