Why didn’t we participate in HOT SALE?

This week we’ve been bombarded (that’s how we feel about it) with HOT SALE ads. As you probably noticed, we didn’t participate and we want to share why.

If you’ve been here for a while, you get us and you know we believe that a planet without waste is a better one.

Sales like these tend to create debt and waste.

Consumerism is a real problem. Marketers are smart and they get you.

9 times out of 10 people spend more than their weekly salary and create unnecessary debt. I won’t even get into the fact that many companies don’t actually offer discounts, they jack up their prices only to offer a “discount”.

We believe in a fair trade market, not only for our suppliers, but for YOU our customers. That means consistently having prices that are win/win for everyone.

We can ask ourselves a few questions before clicking that flashy BUY ME button:

– Do I really need this?
– How long will it last?
– Who made it?
– Were they paid a fair wage?
– Were harmful chemicals used to make it?

If we ask ourselves these questions, and become a little more conscious with our purchases, we can buy items that last forever. Imagine jumping on a sale, and receiving an item that wasn’t what you expected and it breaks as you’re opening it.

You’re now left with less money in the bank, and more garbage to take out….

Remember, small daily changes in our habits can result in massive change.
