Importancia del Reciclaje / Importance of Recycling

It is estimated that an individual generates approximately 90 tons of garbage throughout his life. If we did not have a recycling system, the accumulated waste on the planet would be of such magnitude that cities would become a large landfill.

The reuse of the materials is totally necessary
The recycling issue can be understood in many ways. For some it is their little grain of sand to avoid further deteriorating the environment. Others recycle with an aesthetic approach or simply because it is fashionable. In many educational centers the reuse of certain materials is promoted to educate children.

A new use is possible
There are many residues that can be reused.

- The coffee remains or grounds can be used as compost in the garden.

- Old toothbrushes are useful for cleaning the home in hard-to-reach corners.

- The reuse of water offers many possibilities for watering plants, washing the car or cleaning different objects.).

Glass, paper and cardboard, textiles, organic waste, plastic and other items are all plausible for recycling and reuse. Obviously, the processes in each case will vary in terms of complexity in each case, and some materials may even be recycled only a couple of times. In any case, the importance of recycling lies in the fact that the more elements or objects are recycled, the less material will be thrown away and therefore the planet and the environment will suffer less from the permanent and disorganized growth of human waste.
